the problem
Role specific, location-based
The landing pages require an update that includes role-specific content, location-based variations in services, and language support all while adhering to new branding guidelines.

Previous main landing page. Users sign in and/or click links to learn more about products/services.

Previous signed-in teacher view. Users can connect and cast to a panel, review teacher-focused resources.

Previous signed in IT admin view. Users can manage devices, set up organizations, connect and cast to a panel.
my role
Friendly, User-focused Welcome pages
Planned the creation of eight dynamic, user-friendly pages
Tailored each page to deliver role-specific content for distinct user groups.
Incorporated new branding elements while respecting previous user expectations for consistency.
Aimed to enhance the user experience by streamlining the design and focusing on user-centric functionality.
Provided a more intuitive and efficient interface tailored to each role.
Research, Collaborate, Iterate
the process
Know the users
I researched the behaviors and goals of IT Admins and Teachers, identifying overlaps and differences that influenced expectations for their welcome pages.

IT Admin tasks and how they translate into needs.

Persona for an IT Admin who is also a Teacher.
Understand changing requirements
I worked with developers, marketing, and legal teams to meet requirements and refine the designs based on feedback and evolving deadlines.

Iterations of the hero banner as new information came from marketing and legal.
Design with intent
I created lo-fi mockups, wireframes, and high-fi prototypes, ensuring the pages adhered to branding and accessibility guidelines.

Various iterations considering hierarchy of user needs.
the solution
Improved, User-Focused Welcome Pages
The redesigned welcome pages were tailored to user roles (IT Admins, Teachers) and locations, with support for languages and services. This project resulted in a more intuitive, role-based user experience, laying the foundation for future enhancements like notifications and widgets.
